I bought a second-hand PowerMac 9600/350 which had an XLR8 MaChSpeed G3 card already installed. It's the one with the 12 position red DIP-switch (from what I've read there seems to be several versions of the same processor upgrade card, some cards don't even have switches as far as I know)
I've downloaded updated versions of the software that came on the installation CD, but it asks me for the serial number.
According to some of the documentation PDF files this should be an 18 digit number including dashes and can be found on the card itself.
I did locate a sticker on the card:
XLRxx
xxxxx xx AAAxxx
(where "x" is a number and "A" is a letter)
I've tried entering the above, but the software won't accept it. The documentation mentions dashes, but as you can see there are no dashes in the above number.
Is the sticker on the card indeed the serial number, or can it be found somewhere else?
By the way, what is the recommended version of the software when running in MacOS 9.1?

Hi Trax,
It appears that the you have a very old accelerator from before the time that Daystar took over the XLR8 line and rewrote the software.
You will need ot upgrade to the latest.
