My wife has been very happy with the self installed 550 mhz g4 upgrade. The recent (IMHO)lack of quality control at apple with their tiger upgrades leads me to ask how to maximize Tiger performance.

The G3 itself has firmware 4.18f5. I think the true g4 powerbooks have something in the five range.

Any advice you have on making Tiger run better on an upgraded PISMO would be greatly appreciated
