Hello.
This question pertains to the fact that the original Lombard didn't have an on-board DVD decoder so I have to use the PC card to view DVDs.
Was this a problem that was fixed on the motherboard or on the daughtercard?
Will the G4 Upgrade I got from daystar fix this issue or am I stuck using the older version of DVD player and the PC card (and is this regardless of OS being used, i.e. 9 or X)
Thanks!

While the G4 did not enable DVD decoding, and Apple has killed DVD Player on the Lombard, you can use VLC (the G4 supports DVD decoding on this app). to play your DVDs. As long as you have a DVD drive of course.

| So do you mean that when I upgrade to OS X, the DVD player that comes with it will no be able to be run on my Lombard?

| Correct. It will not launch. And if a clean install, it will not be installed.
