I hope Daystar doesn't stop with just the 15" AL powerbook 192 mhz upgrade. I have a 12" powerbook that I would love to upgrade. I already have one of their upgrades in my G4 tower, and it is awesome! :)

Actually we are working our way through all of the PowerBook Aluminums. It is just a slow process. The 12" is next.

Gary, are there any plans to offer these upgrades for the TI books? Sounds like a nice upgrade to my 867Mhz machine. Do the AL upgrades use the new lower power G4 chip?
On a seperate note, is there any plans to offer something along the lines of a dual 1.9 kit for MDDs?

Sorry, the TiBooks are a bear. Apple played a number of tricks in Power Management.. all of which create to many issues. Also, the system requires the use of an expensive 7457 cpu which is limited ot 1.25 GHz.

We don't have any plans for the older systems.

Ho hum....oh well, perhaps I will upgrade to an AL book one day then. The AL upgrades will use the new chip will they, guess it would run rather hot otherwise. I havent yet seen a PB upgrade that has tempted me away from my one, but a bump to 1.9 would be nice.

So no powermac upgrades in near future? MDD kits seem rare for some reason with more available for quicksilvers etc. Not looking to upgrade mine for a while yet, but interested to see where I might be able to take it in future! G5s are just too big physically and I dont like having to pay to put drives in the thing!

on the pre-release ALPB upgrade order form, it does not list a powerbook g4 15" 1.67GHz option. is the 1.92GHz upgrade incompatible?

Actually we can upgrade the 15" 1.67, but are waiting a bit on it.

I notice that the Rev 1 17" (1 GHz) does not seem to be supported at the moment.  Can you confirm that this will be upgradable in future?
